Back in high school I had this French teacher who — after years of me having to reluctantly drag myself to classes — actually made me look forward to them. She would teach us common French phrases accompanied by hand signs. I believe this was a new *cool* teaching method. She told us that it would help us remember the phrases and that it would be fun. I was still quite reluctant at first, but boy did I start to like it after a couple of classes! I even found my hands starting to make weird movements trying to remember these phrases during exams.
